Excellence Through the Years

Our CEO, Ged Tyrrell, began his journey in the industry as an apprentice for a leading Building Management Systems and Controls firm in 1987. Drawing from his extensive experience in the controls and BMS industry, Ged recognised the transformative potential of technology in the early '90s, particularly in connecting disparate systems within buildings. Directing a dedicated team in his previous role, Ged led projects that showcased the future trajectory of the industry. With a modest initial investment of £6,000, Ged founded Tyrrell Systems Ltd in 1997, guided by a clear vision of the evolving landscape of modern buildings and their operational dynamics.
